While election fever is going on in Punjab, Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu formally joins Indian National Congress yesterday after many flip flops. After joining the party, Sidhu shared this news via his twitter saying “Beginning of a new inning. On the front foot…….. Punjab, Punjabiyat and every Punjabi must win !!!”.
The ex Parliament member quits Bhartiya Janta Party in September 2016. His wife, Mrs. Navjot Kaur Sidhu, joined the Congress after two months in December 2016.
Ealrier, Navjot Singh Sidhu met Mr. Rahul Gandhi, Vice President of Indian National Congress. Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala reported to media that they welcome Mr. Navjot in Congress family and also thankful to Mr. Rahul to bring together like minded people in Congress.
