All the parties are trying to impress these independent candidates as a fear of a hung Assembly as the assembly elections were fought triangular contest.

All the three main parties SAD- BJP alliance,Congress and AAP claimed that they will win with the absolute majority, and the party leaders are trying to keep these independent candidates in good humour.

Independent candidates including Congress rebel Naresh Puri, Rajdeep Kaur, Tarlochan Singh Soond are being considered strong by all the parties.

Also, Balwinder Singh Bains and Simarjit Singh Bains who are Ludhiana MLA’s are considered strong independent candidates. They have aligned with the AAP and AAP had left 5 seats for them.

A SAD Leader told that if we get close to the winning mark and are in need of a few seats then we will have so many independent candidates in hand.

Congress sources said that Naresh Puri and Tarlochan Singh Soond were already aligned with Congress and if they won their seats then they will surely go with the Congress party.

Both SAD – BJP alliance and Congress feel that the Ludhiana MLA brothers did not join AAP party. This is an advantage for both the Bains brothers they can choose any party that will come closer to the majority.
