For Assembly Polls Monitoring Teams Will Surveillance Drugs In Punjab, Maximum Cash & Liquor In UP

As per officials Election Commission-appointed special surveillance and expenditure monitoring teams for the assembly polls held in states of Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Goa, Uttarakhand and Manipur between February 4 and March 8.
According to records Punjab witnessed the maximum acquiring of drugs in the form of heroine and poppy husk worth Rs 1.78 crore and the 10,646 liters of liquor worth Rs 17.54 lakh which is used to bribe voters during the polls. However no cash and illicit liquor seizure in Goa and Uttarakhand till now while Manipur has had no liquor seizure and the team has not witness any drugs seizure in UP till now.UP own the suspicious cash captures tally with Rs 56.04 crore and similarly in Punjab Rs 8.17 crore, Uttarakhand Rs 10 lakh and Manipur Rs 6.95 lakh.
As per the report the election commission has appointed 200 election expenditure observers beside from central observers to keep a strict check on illegal inducements used to bribe voters during assembly polls 2017. Several times it has been noticed that the electing parties used to bribe voters by offering illegal inducements to change their decision and casting vote for their party.  But this time Election Commission is all set to stop such illegal activities during polls.
