As per the report 4,000 NRI Punjabis who are staying in 25 different countries including Canada, America, United Kingdom are currently campaigning for Aam Aadmi Party to bring change in state.

Those NRI Punjabis who were obliged to leave their home-towns by the increasing unemployment in Punjab are back and established a movement called ‘Chalo Punjab’ to develop a new Punjab. According to a report around 4,000 NRI Punjabi are presently campaigning for Aam Aadmi Party which had granted a change for a new Punjab.

Joban Randhawa a Punjabi NRI said that this time we want to free our state from the absolutism of corruption and drugs he further added we have already tried and tested Akali Dal and Congress but sadly it won’t work that is why they are canvassing door-to-door promotion for the party and will return to their work once after the poll process is over.

The Punjab NRIs believes that AAP is a new political party and they wanted to see after Akali Dal and Congress whether AAP can bring change in Punjab to make it corruption & drug free  state as they assume in their dreams.

Considering the thoughts of NRI enthusiasm, AAP has fielded three NRIs from Kapurthala, Nabha and Rajpura assembly constituencies. However the ruling Akali Dal has accused AAP for getting funds from terrorist based in foreign countries but in reality they are not  terrorist they are Punjabis who love their state so much that they came to their place leaving their high-paying jobs just to bring the change.
