Punjab Assembly Elections 2017 AAP Most Expected For Ludhiana West Seat

In AAP party sources said many wanted the ticket from the urban constituency of Ludhiana west.

The AAP state convener Sucha Singh Chhotepur says, In Ludhiana west has maximum voters support AAP. So many wanted to constitute it and they had the backing of the participants too.

AAP expected the list to declare candidates for 26 of the 117 voters in the state. Ludhiana west is amid the most post voters on the list but also a traditional stronghold of the Congress. AAP members said that many wish to take benefit of the sagging fortunes of the Congress and result a relatively easy win in the constituency.

The ongoing representative from the constituency is Congress Deputy CLP leader Bharat Bhushan Ashu is expected to maintain his party’s ticket this time also. He was first appointed in 2012 and the SAD last won from here in 2007.

AAP sources said that The Indian Express that the party’s Kisan wing general secretary Ahbab Grewal will easily get the ticket. Although there are many candidates who support the Dr H S Cheema, a retired scientist from Punjab Agricultural University and the convenor of Ludhiana district Colonel HS Lakhanpal , an ex-servicemen is also part of this consideration.

The party members also backed senior AAP leader H S Phoolka, but the party decided him for Dakha rural constituency against obligatory SAD MLA Manpreet Singh Ayali.

This will be second time that Ayail will face off opposed to Phoolka. In 2014 Lok Sabha election, However the Ludhiana seat was won by Congress’ Ravneet Singh Bittu, Phoolka had arrived in a nearby second and fundamentally eating into Ayali’s vote share, particularly in Dakha. He had likewise cleared Jagraon, where SR Kler of SAD is the neighborhood MLA.
